Cruisin Blog

Should we be using this blog?

As staff photographers for Cruisin Carolina Magazine my wife Emma and I go to a lot of cruise ins. We have had the pleasure to meet many of you and have made many new friends. It's always a pleasure to show up at a cruise and see cars and friends we met at another cruise. It says to us that many of you are reading the schedule of events and trying out different cruises. Gary, the editor, has given us a great platform here to close the gaps between the many different cruises and clubs.

Where and when was the coolest cruise in you have ever been to?

The coolest cruise in I ever went to was in Wichita Kansas in the early 80’s. I lived out there for about a year and I don''t remember the names of the streets or the diners we turned around at, but I do recall one evening in particular that really stands out. Three of my buddies and me were cruisin the town when we ran into a guy named Gary Clark, who had a bad, fast, 56 Chevy, looking for a good light to light race. My friend Mike Vanhorn said “I’ll run ya with my 63 Bel Air 409 4 speed”, and it was on! The light turned green they were off. It was at that point that it all went wrong.
